A Coming Together in Our Neighborhood, ACTION, was started in Canton, Ohio, by Father Thomas Bishop and held its first meeting in February, 1998. In 2009 Father Thomas passed the baton to Mt. Olive Bapt ACTION’s mission is to empower concerned neighbors to improve our community by walking, talking, living, giving, caring, sharing, and working together. ACTION meetings are held the 4th Thursday of each month at 5:00 p. m. at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church located at 1403 13th Street SE, Canton, Ohio 44707.
